Mission Statement

  • God has determined what is right and what is wrong (sin), not society or culture.
  • Our eternal destiny depends on what choice we make (obey Him or not).
  • God wants all to go to Heaven and has provided the way through His Son.
  • The Macon congregation’s mission is to make us all aware of what God has   commanded us all to do.
  • We hope people have a Berean attitude – to check out what people say about the   Bible – to make sure they are telling the truth or not.
  • Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14…Man’s purpose – fear/respect God & obey Him
  • Luke 10:25-28…Greatest command is to love God above anyone & anything and   second to love all mankind.
  • We will teach only what God has said, we are not here to please ourselves or anyone   else (Galatians 1:10).
  • We promise to show all Bible verses on a subject, not just one or two, like many do.
  • For example, John 3:16 is not the only verse about how one is saved.  “Pray the   sinner’s prayer” is not found in the Bible. Faith only is a lie.  The Bible also   commands repentance, confession, and baptism (immersion, not sprinkling or   pouring) for, not because of, the remission of sins, and to live a faithful life unto   God.
  • Therefore, we promise to teach everything Christ taught (Matthew 28:18-20) and as   Paul did – “declare to you the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27).
