About Us

History:

Around 1906, J. D. Tant, better known as The Texas Preacher, moved to the Macon area.  He had a large farm in Williston, just east of Macon.  Bro. Tant was a well-known and very gifted preacher of the pure, New Testament gospel.  Today, the congregation still survives, even though it is small in number, it remains sound in doctrine.

Preacher(s):

Gary Anderson:

Bro. Anderson’s mother helped start the second congregation of the Lord’s church in Minnesota in the late 1940’s.  He was born in 1951 and fulfilled his mother’s desire to have one her boys become a preacher.  Gary graduated from the Bear Valley School of Preaching (Denver, CO) in January 1975.  He has preached in seven states.  He loves church history and Bible study.  He also enjoys camping, cruising (especially Alaska), and just sitting outside, under the stars.  He has been married to his wife for over 50 years.

David Garner:

David is Gary’s son-in-law.  David graduated from the Brown Trail School of Preaching in 2001.  David has preached in California, Colorado, and Tennessee.
